The big problem I have with holidays is I always want to buy everyone presents and run out of cash for myself, plus I don't want to fill my family and friends' houses with tat. This shop provided the perfect solution - incredible variety of speciality pasta, reasonably priced, and thoroughly irresistable!

Wandering in, we found dried pasta in an incredible selection of flavours, including lemon, smoked salmon, beetroot, aubergine, artichoke, regional speciality black pasta, chicken, and blue curacao (and yes, it really was blue - turquiose really!) Moving on, we came to the novelty pastas - striped, italian flags, mixed bags of colours, teddy bears, gondolas, carnival masks - if you can't find something to make someone you know laugh, you know the wrong people! Bags come with selections to match your favourite football team's colours (Newcastle United was particularly striking, although I still can't quite stomach the thought of eating something black)

The rest of the shop was a deli of jars and cans of all kinds of exotic things (including Heinz baked beans!) and the fresh pasta was enough to make you wish you were in a self catering hotel, but we left happily laden down with bags of every shade under the sun, each for around 3 Euros. Holiday presents sorted!
