Most people think of lighthouses as tall cylindrical-shaped building, such as Cape Hatteras. You might be surprised when you see this lighthouse. It is a small building with white-washed walls and looks more like an old school building. But up on top you will see the lantern perched on the roof.
While you can’t go inside the building, you can walk around outside. You can also go on the porch. Set at the edge of a park, it offers a beautiful view of the Potomac. It is also a very nice walk from the parking lot to the house. It would be a great place to stop for a picnic. And make sure to bring Spot along to run in the park.
