Description
In 1860 the builders of this neighbourhood had a hard time convincing Jerusalem's inhabitants to leave the security of the Old City and settle in the first modern houses outside the walls. Today, after many changes, this is one of Jerusalem's most enchanting neighbourhoods. A walk through the stone-cobbled walkways in the late afternoon, just as the Old City walls are turned a bronze colour by the sun, is magical and unique way to end the day.
