I went in search of the Scotland Writer's museum. In February, when I was in Dublin, the Dublin Writer's Museum was a highlight of my trip. So the Scotland Writer's Museum was a must-see on my list of activities for Edinburgh. It was interesting and free and had a lot of info on Robert Louis Stevenson, Robert Burns, and Sir Walter Scott. I love the winding stone staircase and the imperfections in the old glass windows.

This small museum resides off the main drag of the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, in a house once owned by a Scot named lady Stair. Now, the house features artifacts from three very famous, Scottish writers: Robert Burns, Sir Walter Scott, and Robert Louis Stevenson. With famous manuscripts, and detailed explanations of the writers' lives. This museum is really interesting and really fun to experience.
