Watch Your Money. Spend Your Time and Money Elsewhere

I visited the casino almost daily over a 7 day period and lost more than $12,000 over that time and put myself in 10K debt with the bank. I played the 2 dollar and 5 dollar machines and they took took took. Obvioulsy I expected to win something but ouch! to my surpise! This was not to be. As a regular attender in the past, I have seen people loose thousands and thousands of dollars at the slots in a single day or over a period of time. I have met patrons who took lines of credits to fund the gambling addiction. I am yet to meet one successful gambler and I have been attending this place for 7 years. Most of the people are angry, very frustrated and broke. There are very few good cars in the parking lot. My advise is not to carry any cards with you if you must go, carry limited cash and try not to spend it. But my best advise is not to go in the first place. Take your spouse or kids or friends to an expensive dinner instead. You will spend far less and gain much more. I am not against the casino but i feel bad for myself and for others who loose so much money and time. I have vowed NOT to return and I will hold onto this promise to myself and my wife. May God help you if you go.

Woodbine racetrack and casino. The large casino is open 24 hours from Friday to Monday, and late every other night. The track offers both harness and thoroughbred racing of a world-class standard. Most notably, the Queens Plate and Canadian International, which as the name suggests brings competitors from across the globe to compete. It is an excellent venue for a day out of town and entrance is free. It is approximately 45 minutes from downtown Toronto and easily accessible by public transport. Hint; Keep your fare home in a separate pocket, not to be opened until you're off the grounds! Should you get bored of gambling there's a large shopping mall, complete with indoor fair and movie theatre over the road.
