Description
This art gallery devoted to African American exhibits has a little bit of everything. It features both male and female artists from all over the United States as well as new and established artists. William Grant Still was a symphony composer, and the gallery was named after him because of his contributions to African American art and culture. Once a year in December the gallery holds the Black Doll Exhibit. During this period there are also doll making classes available. Nothing is sold out of the gallery but it does have a shop called the African Marketplace at two locations—one in the Fox Hills Mall and the other in the Crenshaw Mall.
