Fun Tour!

I did this tour a week ago and it was one of the highlights of our trip. They picked us up in front of Carlos N Charlie´s and it was about a 20 min car ride to this small town that the guy that picked us up from Carlos N Charlies said was the 1st mayan settlement on the island. So a guide greeted us there in the Cedral and gave us a quick class on how to use the atvs. We started from there and rode through the jungle visiting a number of very interesting places. It was very dusty and we got very dirty. The path was very rocky in spots but it was really fun. We visited a sink after that an underground cave and then a small mayan ruin. I really enjoyed the cave it was very neat we saw some wildlife there by that I mean a wild Iguana and a snake that I was unable to catch. The tour guides were attentative to our needs and happy to answer any questions that we had. They told me about some other tours that they offer and they sound great and I am looking forward to trying those out as well. They had cold bottled water for us the entire tour and gave us very good service. We would happily recommend this tour to anyone that enjoys atvs. We payed 66 dollars per person and it was worth it.

Well my wife and I went to Cozumel the first week of Jan 08 and we tried the ATV beach tour with wild tours and it was great! They really did give us good service and helped us to have a great tour experience on Cozumel which we will definitely remember. We started out at a place called the cedral and headed out. The trail was very rocky and dusty but thats what we were hoping. We visited different places in the jungle. First we visited a sink hole that apparently used to be used by the Mayans to make sacrifices to their water God as we were explained by our tour guides. Second we stopped at an underground cave walked through it which was very cool. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. Third we stopped at a small Mayan ruin which was also interesting. We took pics at each stop. We then finished that part of the tour and they took us to a beach where they gave free drink vouchers and we went snorkeling and swimming for about another hour. It was very fun our tour guides were very funny and we had a blast! I recommend this tour to all!

WOW, That just about sums it up. I will give more of a description. We met in front of Carlos n Charlies. Guide was very prompt and very well humored. We headed to the cedral and it was great. Once we hit the jungle trail we were roughin it I'll tell ya but it was a blast. It was muddy and dusty and very rocky, but that should be kinda what you would expect getting on an ATV(ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLE). We were rompin and everything and we visited a sink hole that was like 66 ft deep and then on to an underground cave and last we stopped at a small mayan ruin. The ruin wasn't big but as I understand there aren't any really big ruins on the island the big ones are all on the mainland. Anyways our tour guide was great very knowledgeable and very friendly. We then went to the beach they gave us drink vouchers and we went snorkeling and swimming and we stayed at the beach relaxing for quite a while actually. I would recommend it for anyone that likes riding ATVS it was a blast.

Wild Tours' ATV Jungle Adventure

This tour was $80 per person for a couple sharing an ATV, and from the description, the money should have been worth it. They describe an ATV ride through lush jungle to ancient Mayan ruins, a beach break with lunch and refreshments provided, and then snorkeling and kayaking. Sounds like the perfect shore excursion, right? Well, the tour guide was over an hour late and then told us we didn't have time to do anything but the ATV ride and a fifteen-minute break at the beach for lunch.

We didn't see any Mayan Ruins, no jungle, just palm trees, and my husband had to get off of the ATV 20 times to put the chain back on HIMSELF. Two other vehicles broke down on the VERY RUGGED TERRAIN and the "guide" never once stopped to talk about the surroundings. By the way, the lunch was a scanty bologna and mayo sandwich on cheap white bread, a Mexican brand of chips similar to Lays. and a soda. I was hurting all over due to the aggressively rocky trail that is not suitable for anyone with limited experience. My husband was driven ATVs for 15-plus years and described it as difficult. SAVE YOUR MONEY!
