Whale Sighting

We did a timeshare tour and selected the whale watching tour as our bonus for the time we spent. We were thrilled with our choice. We were late in the season, the last week the boats were to go out, and thought we would be lucky to see a spout or two; however, we were exceptionally lucky. As the ship was returning to the marina, the captain spotted a humpback whale actually cavorting: she breached, breached again, and again, and again and again--for 15 minutes--right off the bow. We marvelled, took pictures, marvelled again, and again. It was a wonderful experience, one definitely not to be missed if you are in Cabo when the whales are also there.

The Kaleidoscope is a 100 foot power catamaran with an exceptionally smooth ride. She is incredibly stable, which leaves all your attention on the water and the shore. A very friendly staff pours free national drinks, brings chips and salsa, and prepares hot dogs for you in the main lounge. While searching for whales, you pass the Land's End Arch, the Sea Lion Colony, Lover's beach, and numerous fine homes and hotels.

The staff and "our" whale provided a wonderful experience, not soon to be forgotten.
