Description
The ornate mansion was home to the wealthy Trimingham family for seven generations. The family gained prominence by founding the popular Trimingham Brothers department store in 1842, which still has a location in Hamilton today. Built in 1735, the house has undergone major renovations, but the two main chambers still have period decor and are noted by many of the family's heirlooms. The Bermuda National Trust currently uses the facility as its headquarters. Guided tours are available free of charge.
