More than just a bookstore, this place has the largest number of titles available under one roof in the whole of Scotland. Five floors of shelves are crammed with the latest literary efforts of everyone's favourite authors, as well as more obscure ones. This is a vast shrine to the written word which pays more than lip service to the idea of customer care.

The basement houses a Costa coffee cafe and there are lots of brightly coloured sofas and armchairs on every floor so you can make the difficult decision of what book to read next in total comfort. Internet access, author readings, book signings, story-telling and discount promotions are also on offer, while special events include themed parties and free Friday night film club screenings.
