Universal Orlando's Theme Parks
- July 31, 2005
- Rated 5 of 5 by

There was constant movement, loud music, the smell of different foods from around the world, 10-foot-tall people walking around, BMX bike shows, dancing-lessons venues for kids… pretty much you name it, it’s there. This place is great, daytime and nighttime, then you get a water taxi back to your hotel (5 minutes away), visit the pool or snack shop, and collapse in your room.

The Enchanted Tiki Room

The Enchanted Tiki Room, now under new management, keeps the same principles as it did before, with talking birds entertaining guests in the theater. The problem with the attraction now is that it features load noises, smoke, and periods of darkness. Whereas the original was geared towards families, the new show has an older audience in mind. Children ages 6 and up are best suited for this attraction, but the best gauge is your own. Small children become easily frightened from this attraction. It is certainly one of the most unusual attractions in Disney. Lines are never long, so go when you need a break.

Peter Pan's Flight

Peter Pan is one of the classic rides in Disney. Riders are whisked away in the ship sailing high above London. We fly above Peter Pan as he meets Wendy and battles Captain Hook. Disney has done a great job, again, with the effects. At one point, it’s hard not to believe you actually over Big Ben. The highlight of the attraction is the sword fight between Peter and Hook and the journey to Never Never Land. This Fantasyland ride gets a long line by the middle of the day, so try to do it early in the morning or at night, when the crowds die down.

Cinderella's Golden Carousel

Cinderella's Golden Carousel is just as it sounds like, a carousel. The only difference is that it has a Cinderella theme. Younger children will like riding the horses around and around while adults stand at the gate and watch them pass by. If your child is very young, it is recommended that you accompany them. Being in Fantasyland, the most crowded land in the Magic Kingdom, the carousel can develop a long line as the day progresses. It is recommended that you skip the attraction, unless you have children dying to go on it.

Swiss Family Robinson Tree House

The Swiss Family Robinson Tree House is an intricate jungle gym in Adventureland. While running up and down the stairs to places like the Jungle Outlook at the top may interest kids, adults usually prefer to sit and watch, rather than chase, their child around. The attraction, based on the 1960 Disney movie, is very well themed and contains a lot of room for kids to run around. Try to do this attraction in the beginning or at the end of the day so kids don’t have to run around in the heat.
