This is the oldest museum in Cologne, and it contains a wide range of works. There are a lot of religious-themed pieces dated 1250-1550, as well as contemporary graphic art. Rubens, Rembrandt, and Warhol will probably impress you as much as they impressed me. There are also a few sculptures. Overall, I like Museum Ludwig a lot better, but this one is still worth a look.

The Wallraf-Richartz Museum was first founded to exhibit local artists' gothic pieces, but has since been expanded. With the many different styles represented, just about anyone should find something they can appreciate. The museum has works from Picasso, Ernst, Dali and Matisse just to name a few. You won't be able to miss the enormous Lichtenstein in the lobby either. This is one of the better art museums I have seen in my life.
