Description
Located in the same building as the Stanislavskii Drama Theatre, this expensive shop sells Georgian, Moldavian, Californian, French, Italian and other wine. They have a selection of over 1200 wines and other liquors. The collection of champagnes is quite good: traditional Russian brands like Sovetskoye Shampanskoe and Tsymlianskoe, as well as the Crimean Novyi Svet and, of course, the French original, as well Spanish and German sparkling wines.
Georgian wines are believed to be the best in the former Soviet Union, and there are a lot of fakes all over the city. In this shop, they get famous brands – Tsinandali, Gurdzhaani, Saperavi, Kindzmarauli and Hvanchakara, directly from three different producers in Georgia. The prices vary from 150R ($6) for Tsinandali to 600R ($23) for Hvanchkara. French wines are priced between 300R ($11) and 120,000R ($4285), such as the 1982 Chateaux Petrus.
