From long before the arrival of the Spanish, the very finest and most artistic gold and silverwork has been performed by the craftsmen of this region, today known as Ecuador. From its origins to the present, the evolution of this ancestral art has been more marked in regions such as the Ecuadorian sierra, especially the southern sierra (Cuenca and surroundings).

Some of this artists have established themselves in Quito, in order to share some of their great talent. Such is the case with Segundo Parra Falconi, owner of Vanitex Joyeria.
