The catamaran trip was amazing and affordable and not too crowded. They only accomodate 10 passengers at a time! We took the Discover Lanai Sunset Sail and booked it from the internet. We got 10% discount from booking it online.

They pick you up on Lahaina harbor, feed you home-made cinnamon rolls and then sail to Lanai for snorkeling. They have bottled water that you can refill and pineapple and guava juice and of course, softdrinks on board. They give you gears and gadgets for snorkeling and give you a crash course in snorkeling.

They then sail to Lanai and feed you lunch. A van tour to the small town of Lanai follows. After that, there's a relaxing hour or two on Hulopo'e beach in Lanai where they serve refreshments and snacks. You can even use the hammocks on the beach! Then they serve you dinner on a cottage overlooking the Manele Bay and they'll give you motion sickness pills too!

Then they sail without the motor and just let the wind take you home while serving you champagne as the sun sets. It was sooo romantic. Overall, this experience it the best of all the things we did in Maui and we will do it again when we come back!

As a bonus, the crew took us to a place where a school of dolphins were just swimming around and before we knew it we were surrounded by dolphins who were just jumping around our boat. A van tour to the small town of Lanai follows. The view on Lanai is breathtaking and no photographs can give justice to the scenery. After that, a relaxing hour or two is spent on Hulopo'e beach in Lanai where they serve refreshments and snacks. You can even use the hammocks on the beach! Then they serve you dinner on a cottage overlooking the Manele Bay -- and they'll give you motion sickness pills too!
