Description
The Trapezium House, built in 1817 by Charles O'Hara, is one of the most unusual historic homes in Virginia. There are no parallel walls in the home. Is the design due to the shape of the lot it is built on? This is one speculation. However, legend has it that a West Indian slave told the superstitious O'Hara that such a design would keep out ghosts and evil spirits.
The Trapezium House is closed Oct-Mar.
Admission: $3 Adults; $2 Children 6-11 and Seniors.
