Bellagio Art Gallery

The new Phillips Collection on loan at the Bellagio is really a wonderful trip through modern painting. It touches just briefly on several art movements and presents a compact yet detailed tour . The audio presentation is so-so, and some prefer to see the works undistracted. The staff is excellent and will also point out some of the other work in the Casino that might otherwise be missed.

Beginning in April, a 28 piece collection owned by actor Steve Martin will be on display, featuring the works of Georges Seurat, Roy Lichtenstein, Pablo Picasso, David Hockney, and Edward Hopper.

Aside from fine dining and gambling opportunities, the Bellagio also offers something not other hotels might not: artwork. The paintings from Steven Wynn’s private collection are on par at what you’d find in any top museum. Art lovers will not be disappointed with works ranging from Monet, Manet, Renoir, and Miro to Pollock, Degas, Cézanne, and Picasso.
