Bellagio Conservatory and Fountains

Bellagio Conservatory and Fountains

This is my absolute favorite place to visit when I go to Vegas. Since I go several times a year for work, I get to see the changes the hotel has made to the Conservatory. As you walk into the Conservatory, the first thing that hits you is the smell of all the different flowers. Then the colors hit you from all the different flowers arranged into intricate designs. The conservatory is changed at least four times a year based around the seasons. One year, during the fall season, they created a huge cornucopia that represented autumn. I do miss the grand staircase that used to be part of the gardens. There you would catch a glimpse of many a bride taking her wedding photos.

Bellagio Fountains

The Bellagio Fountains are something you must see. Seeing pictures that someone else took or seeing it on TV does not do it justice. The power of the fountains, accompanied by the music and the lighting, make for a very moving sight. It is extremely romantic, and it sounds corny, but it actually does bring tears to your eyes. If you are in Vegas, this is just something you have to see. And it's free, so there's no excuse. The best time to see it is at night. They play a diffenent show every 15 minutes or so. It is beautiful.

Bellagio Fountains, Gardens, & Buffet

As we were staying on Fremont Street in the cheap end of Vegas, it was a treat to see how the other half lives! We had vouchers we'd won from a website for a free buffet meal at the Bellagio hotel, worth approximately $25 each (2002 price). We had a wander around the botanical gardens and watched the fountain show, two of the many things you can do for free!

The buffet was absolutely stunning, very posh and high end, though the dress of the people attending it was anything but! There is something for everyone and an especially good seafood selection. Waiters will bring your drinks, and my husband was pleased to find out they'd let him have as much cranberry juice as he wanted (six glasses!).

If you can get it at a discount or for free, like we did, I'd advise you to go, just once. However, if you're like us and want to stick to a low budget, it won't kill you to miss it.

The gardens are beautiful and well kept, and there were wedding pictures being taken as we went through. The fountain show is set to music and looks lovely any time of the day or night (though the night might be more romantic). Shows are every half-hour from 3pm (12pm on weekends), and then every 15 minutes from 8pm onward till midnight.

The Fountains of Bellagio

Even on my third trip to Vegas, this was my favorite thing to do or see while I was there. No matter what the song, it is worth it to watch.

It can be romantic, fun, silly, emotional, or a combination of all of the above. You hear one song, and it is so good, you can't help but stay to watch another, and it turns into "just one more!"

Nighttime is the best to view it, and, in fact, I recently took my mom and sister for their first Vegas trip and wouldn't let them near the fountains until dark so they could fully experience the fountains in all their glory.

They were as speechless, as I was. Thank you Steve Wynn and the Bellagio for making a truly one-of-a-kind experience, and thank you for making it free!!

Fountains of Bellagio

All I have to say is that the fountain was the single most fascinating sight on the Strip. Just stand there and wait for a song to start about every 15 minutes at night; it's the most amazing thing ever. It's really hard to explain why a fountain is so cool, so just go see for yourself.
