Bellagio Fountains

Ahh, the Bellagio Fountains! This was an awesome experience. We stayed for about three shows in a row when we passed the first time and had to stop by again later.

The fountains are $40 million worth of entertainment and well-worth a stop if you happen by while in Vegas. The waterjets are choreographed with popular music and make for a wet ballet that is a viewing pleasure.

If you're blocked out due to too many people, don't worry, stick around for a few and you'll soon be in the front row. The best though is to see the show set to Sinatra. This happens often it seems, so just give it chance.

I would recommend the Bellagio Fountains to anyone who is in Vegas for a quick stop to see something that you'll experience nowhere else. It is a sight you'll not soon forget.

The Bellagio Fountain

The Bellagio Fountain

The fountain in front of the Bellagio is a must-see when in Vegas. This breathtaking sight isn’t on display all the time. Shows start at 3pm and run until 12am on the weekdays, and run from 12pm to 12am on the weekends. They run every half hour from 12pm until 8pm and then every 15 minutes after 8pm. The show only lasts five minutes, but the crowd starts to form at least 10 minutes in advance. Even locals stop to watch the show, because it is always a sight to behold.
The show takes place in the 8.5-acre lake in front of the Bellagio and features more then 1,000 shooting fountains. The movement of the water is enhanced by spectacular lighting and is choreographed to various songs such as One, Singular Sensation, and Fly Me To The Moon. This is a free attraction that everyone can enjoy.
It can be seen from most spots on the strip around the Bellagio. However, the most preferred spots are at the railings in front of the lakes (usually the middle). Get there early before each showing if you want to be next to the railing. These spots fill quickly. If you can’t get the spot that you want then head across the street to the Paris. There is a beautiful view from atop the Eiffel Tower.

Bellagio Fountains

One of our most favorite sights on the Strip was the frequent water shows in the front of the Bellagio, with its synchronized fountains, music, and lights! A walk down the famous Strip is a mad-house of flashing signs, crowds, flyers, and performers - so the spectacular show of dancing water is a relaxing change of pace from the hustle! Performed every 1/2 hour from mid-day to 8pm, and every 15 minutes from 8pm to 12am, you're bound to catch a glimpse of the forty million dollar fountain show while strolling past the extensive pool in the front of the Bellagio Hotel and Casino.

The first night we ventured onto the Strip, we walked by the Bellagio pool just as Elvis' "Viva Las Vegas" began to play from the speakers - and a couple seconds later...WOW! It sounded like canons as the water was shot a hundred feet in the air! The show was so much fun to watch; and even the mist from the swaying streams of water was a nice cool-down on the humid night. Of course, the Bellagio is one of the most prestigious casinos on the Strip and, the meticulous details of the buildings and grounds exude this. The sidewalk in front of the pool transports you to an Italian citywalk with ornate lampposts and iron benches under the shade of trees.

We stopped and heard, "This Kiss" by Faith Hill during the daylight hours and it was still a sight to behold! During a visit to the Famous Las Vegas Strip, this free attraction is a "must-see"!

I really loved the fountain show in the Bellagio hotel—this is so cool, this show is every 15 minutes or so and it's just amazing. You should stay for a few shows since each one is with a different song—it won't look the same as the one before.

Bellagio Fountains

The fountains at the Bellagio are a wonderfully romantic spot to hit in the evening when the sun sets and the lights in the water take on a glowing effect. This show has water, fountains, and lights all choreographed to music in front of a beautiful Italian themed hotel. The music played at the fountain shows ranges anywhere from Sarah Brightman to Elvis Presley.

This free fountain show plays in front of the Bellagio hotel in the quarter mile long lake area. The show lasts only a few minutes but then will replay a different show every half hour or every quarter of an hour, depending on the time of the day. There are 1,200 nozzles and 4,500 lights that make up this extravagant fountain show. The Bellagio spent a mere $40 million to have this fountain show, and luckily for them it is very impressive.

Every time this water show starts crowds of people stand by the railing and watch this beautiful show. Even vehicles stop on the Vegas strip just to watch the show. If you come to Vegas and want a little break from the busy casinos come enjoy the outdoors and this delightful show.
