Girls, gossip, smelly feet, laughs, tears, dead seriousness. It is a mixed atmosphere, but you would agree: this is a girl's party, the likes of which you have probably never seen. Tjejmilen is a 10 km race for female runners only, which attracts tens of thousands of participants every year. It does not matter if you prefer to walk or run, the competitive aspect is less important than the atmosphere and the fun, so everyone moves at their own pace. The interesting part being that everyone gets a medal. The race cuts across the beautiful areas of Djurgården and Gärdet, there are bands playing along the way, and the 'event finale' is a major concert in the evening after the race.
