Description
This has been a popular seaside town since the 1920s when holidaymakers from Wellington would train out to Porirua station then catch the coach to the sea. Over the years nothing much has changed and the beach remains a draw card for sea sport lovers. A number of clubs operate from the bay including surf lifesaving, board riders, a fishermen's club and a diving school. Plenty of parking, safe swimming and for the caffeine addicted a beachside latte is avaiable at Sun Seair Cafe. Roll on summer.
