Description
This historic railroad line offers a trip back in time to a slower paced world. The journey begins at the old train depot in the sleepy town of Horseshoe Bend, about 25 miles north of Boise on Highway 55. Passengers gaze out the windows at the mountain scenery as the pre-1950s coach makes it slow journey to the quiet village of Banks. Watchful passengers can see eagles, cranes, elk or fox. Tickets range from $22 for adults to $12 for children.
