Description
South Carolinas Jewish Heritage can be traced back to the 18th century, thanks to the more than 300 interviews housed in this collection. The Jewish Heritage Collection is located at the College of Charleston's Robert Scott Small Library and also contains family trees, documents and photographs. The material presented here was the outgrowth of a program started in 1995 by Jewish Historical Society of South Carolina, the College of Charleston's Jewish Studies Program. The library gladly accepts photographs or artifacts to add to the collection. Dale Rosengarten is the curator.
