Description
Designed in 1858-59 by Fermo Zuccari, it was restored during the refurbishing work performed along the entire length of Via Garibaldi. It became a part of the theatre facilities of the Piccolo Teatro di Milano, and was turned into the Teatro Studio by means of a renovation operation that transformed the hall to recall the forms of Milanese courtyard-based domestic architecture, in a design by Marco Zanuso in 1984-87. The same architect also created the new Piccolo Teatro building.
