Taurine Fair

Description

Feeling bullish? November brings world-class matadors to the Plaza de Acho in the historic Rimac neighborhood of Lima. Built in 1766, the Plaza is the oldest bullfighting ring in the Americas. Bullfighters from Mexico, Spain, and Venezuela join Peruvian competitors for a chance to win the prestigious 'Golden Scapulary of the Sede los Milagros' and prizes up to USD25,000. Because bullfights in Lima follow the Spanish tradition of killing the bull at the end of a bout, this rowdy and dramatic spectacle is not for the faint of heart. Seats range from USD15-100 depending on proximity to the ring and whether they are located in the sun or shade.
