Sydney Harbour Bridge - Bridge Climb

It was almost up there with Skydiving! This is a must do if you go to Sydney, DO NOT BE SCARED! It was one of the easiest things I have ever done! As a matter of fact, my two friends went before I did. I was hesitant but said I would be so mad if I did not do it! So I did it, and it was awesome. The weather was bad-- it was raining and foggy but it was awesome to see the opera house in the fog! The trip up is not strenous at all. They guides are awesome and they take you up a bit at a time and stop and tell you history of everything around you. The hardest part of the climb is that it has to end! Kudos to my guides Melanie and Blue Eyed Ben!

Climbing the Sydney Harbor Bridge

The bridge climb is a three hour experience. The first hour is spent going through an extensive training session about what the bridge looks like and how you attach yourself to a harness, with a caribenner that rolls through a steel chord. (You kinda have to see the contraption to understand how it works, but do not worry; when you leave the training session you are already an expert.)
Then you climb. It is wonderful and amazing to be climbing this great monumental historic structure. You are not allowed to bring a camera. (Actually you are not allowed to bring anything onto the bridge) but they take plenty of digital pictures and you get a complementary group photo. Then you can purchase any of the others that you may want.
The only tip is if you climb in the morning be sure that you did not drink too much the night before because they breath test you before you climb.
The best part is that everyone wears funky gray suits over their clothing when they climb.

You have all seen pictures of our famous harbour bridge - well now you can climb it to the top of the arch on a guided walking tour. You must do this walk as the views are the best in town. You do not need to be fit at all; anyone can do this.
