Description
Anyone who knows a little about 20th-century Chinese history will be aware that although Sun Yat Sen was the founder of the Chinese Republic, his memory is not necessarily in favour with the ruling Communist Party as, basically, he was the leader of the opposition! So one does have to wonder if the location of this commemorative park within sight of Mainland China was deliberate or not. In any case, the aviary, greenhouse, Fung Shui forest, swimming pool, playground and sports fields provide plenty of entertainment. Oh, and there is a bronze sculpture entitled 'Permanent Handshake', celebrating Sino-Portuguese friendship, again.
