Description
'Dedicated to the exposure of art and artifacts created by Afro-Americans, this museum started life in a rented loft in 1967. The New York Bank of Savings donated the present Harlem premises to the museum in 1979. The two-story museum features temporary and permanent exhibits. The photographic collection offers insight into Harlem's past. Sculpture is on display in a small garden. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students and seniors, $1 for children under 12.'
