We took the free tour and it was very interesting. You get to taste the equivalent of one glass of wine if you try all of the offerings. My husband and I are not big wine drinkers but still found the tour interesting and a nice relaxed atmosphere to enjoy. Alternate drinks are available for children and persons who do not want to try the wine. The winery has a large gift shop attached with a large selection of their wines as well as other wine related gifts (wine glasses, cork screws, bottle chillers and much more) and of course T-shirts.

There are no other wineries in the area, so if you want to go to one, this is it. It is no Napa Valley winery, but it does have its good points. It is easy to get to and find on the corner of State Highway 165 and Green Mountain Drive. It's just a half mile or so south of the main drag, Route 76. Now, at the winery, they do have a tour with the wine-tasting. The tour is an average experience, but at the tasting we were able to try more than a dozen wines, champagnes, and grape juice. They don't give a lot to sample for each of the wines, but they give enough to know if you like it or not. They have dry and sweet and plenty in between, so almost everyone will find something they will enjoy.

We went early on our trip so we could grab a few bottles for the evenings back in the timeshare unit to relax. We went back at the end of our week to take a few bottles home with us, because we wanted our friends back home to enjoy the wines with us. We could not have the wine sent to our home, but those in some other states can, and you can even order from their website if you want. For more info, you can call (888) 926-WINE or (417) 334-1897 or check out their website, www.stonehillwinery.com.

Stone Hill has a GREAT winery tour. It’s not like some wineries that just want you to taste and then buy the wine. They take you on a guided tour. They explain and even show you the process of making, storing, and drinking wine. At the very end they have several samples and they even let kids go on the tour and at the end they have grape juices for them to sample so they can also feel like they aren't left out. I can remember going as a kid and it did make a big enough difference that I still buy their grape juice. I would rate this winery in the TOP 3 in Missouri if not #1!

We took a tour on one of the rainy days we were in Branson -- very impressive. We really enjoyed the gentleman that did the tours. We bought several bottles home with us. There was not a lot of walking and the tour only takes about 45 minutes.

This is a great attraction in Branson. What makes is really great is that it's FREE! Really interesting for someone like me who didn't have a clue about how wine was made or stored. During the tour, they show a short film and take you through the process of wine making and storage. Then they save the best for last. Everyone gathers in the wine tasting room to taste a lot of samples of their wine. They have wonderful grape juice for the kids to taste. I would recommend the tour for adults and maybe teens, but younger kids get kind of bored. They also have a great gift shop selling a lot more than wine. I'm not a big wine fan, but we go to the winery every trip to Branson just to buy the grape juice - it's ten times better than what's in stores.
