Description
During Soviet times the state managed to run hot and cold on Darwin's theory of evolution. Here is a fairly straight-forward attempt to find out how we got from monkey to man.
There are several exhibitions and galleries that chart the history of the natural world, explain the basic principles of evolution and illustrate the Earth's major ecosystems. Several life-size models of extinct animals are displayed on the first floor. There is a very unique gallery entirely devoted to the history of human cognitive development. Reccommended for children.
Admission: 18R ($0.60).
