What better way to spend St. Patty's Day while in Boston, but to attend the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade. This parade is so much fun. The young and old, families or singles, it is a blast! Here you will see politicians, school bands from the area, Irish music, floats, and so much more. People will stake out their claim on the parade route hours before it starts. Usually the parade starts at 1pm on Broadway (by the T station), continues throughout the streets of South Boston, and ends in Andrews Square around 4ish.If you are young, it is easy to make friends along the parade route. Often people welcome you into their home and end up continuing the celebrations there. It a great festival to attend, and it's free (obviously)! Even if you are not Irish, it is still something that you can enjoy.
