Shirokiya is a Japanese department store now locally owned after Japan's recent economy collapse forced them to change hands. There are things you can browse and purchase here from Japan, other than the electronics available elsewhere. Food stuffs can be seen freshly prepared, just as if you're in shops in Japan, with ingredients that may not be so readily available elsewhere. There's a Japanese buffet available here that isn't an all you can eat for a single price, it's charged by the items you placed on your tray. You pay at the cashier and find some seating in the dining area. It's a tiny little bit of Japanese commercial culture here without having to actually go there.
