Description
The Shinchon area is renowned for its many universities. It is referred to as the center of college culture of Korea. Since the spring of 1992, a festival has been held every third Friday through Sunday in May for two main reasons. The first is to create a healthy college attitude. The second is to assuage the complaints that residents were making about disruptive student demonstrations. After an opening ceremony, there are many events such as a film festival, exhibitions and performances, free speech, chajon-nori folk games and other exciting happenings.
