Shilov Art Gallery

Description

On January 14 1997, Alexander Shilov presented 300 of his works to the city of Moscow, a contribution which still formed the basis of this museum.

Shilov was born in 1943; in 1973 he graduated from the Moscow Surikov Art Institute. He became known in the 1970s after his works graced the walls of some prestigious Moscow exhibitions.

The gallery is located in the historical quarter of Moscow, in a 19th-century house built by famous Russian architect Tiurin. Entry is free.
