Description
The historic Jackson Ward neighborhood was home to several famous African-American entertainers including Bill 'Bojangles' Robinson, Duke Ellington and Billie Holiday. Come celebrate the rich cultural heritage established here by these legends and many others who performed nightly at the Hippodrome Theater. The festival has live music, an African crafts market, food and activities for children, all set on a beautiful street lined with Queen Anne houses and wrought ironwork. Admission is free.
