Santa Pelagia

Description

The Augustinian nuns of the ex-convent next door commissioned this church designed by Filippo G.B. Nicolis di Robilant and built in 1769. The convent, meanwhile, had been built during the 17th c. and was enlarged two centuries later following the dissolution of the community.

The facade of the rather low church features a pronaos with four columns supporting a triangular tympanum.

The centrally laid out interior has four elliptical bays, one of which is slightly larger than the others, and boasts important paintings by Vittorio Blanchery.
