Barefoot Landing

This is a very nice shopping and eating area filled with bridges and walkways over alligators and water fowl. There is all kinds of entertainment from the House of Blues, Alabama Theater, and street vendors, to great restaurants and many shopping options. It's a lot of fun for the kids as well as the adults and a great way to spend an evening at the beach.

Barefoot Landing

This shopping area was awesome and huge! Not only can you spend all of your money buying all types of clothes, accessories, souvenirs, and anything else you can think of, but you can also eat and go on an adventure. There were several different restaurants, including Joe''s Crab Shack and many others.

Also included in the shopping plaza were tigers. Yes, tigers. And birds. The tigers were amazing. We actually got to get our picture taken with a tiger cub. You could also get your picture made with a full-size tiger or pay (quite a bit) for a few minutes in a room with several tiger cubs and get it filmed on a video camera.

If you are in the Myrtle Beach area and would like to have a whole lot of shopping fun, I suggest you definitely visit Barefoot Landing!

Barefoot Landing Resort Course(Fazio)

There are four courses on site. I only played the Fazio design. The course was in great shape. The greens were bent grass and rolling true. There is little water, but plenty of other trouble. Fairways are somewhat tight. It is a true test of your golf game. You can't call it a placement course, but it's definitley not wide open either. A good mix of golf, and a very beautiful course.

Barefoot Landing is diverse enough to be listed under any activities heading. Let's see a 27 acre lake, bordered with 100 specialty shops, 13 factory direct stores, an eclectic choice of restaurants, Carousel rides, House of Blues, Alabama Theatre. Kept us busy for a weekend. The walkway across the lake is especially pretty at night. An outdoor concert set the mood for relaxation after a day of shopping and a fun dinner at a motorcycle themed restaurant called Harley's.
