My 2-5 yr olds love walking around through all the stores and touching every toy and breakable figurine in sight. My wife says it's too much of the same old tourist trap stuff and has had enough of chasing kids around stores. As for me, I think the place is interesting to walk around for awhile and give the kids a change of pace from the beach. Just keep them out of the stores and walking around the boardwalk as much as possible

Pleasant little shop with a good variety of gift items. Reasonably priced, for the beauty of the pieces. Purchased burgundy and gold blown glass bird for $20 (fits in the palm of my hand) as a birthday gift. Staff was friendly; welcomed out-of-state checks.

Barefoot Landing

Barefoot Landing (www.bflanding.com) is like a big outdoor mall. It has a lake in the middle of it and the shops go around the lake with a couple bridges in the middle. It has about 100 shops and several restaurants. It kept us busy all day!

If you like to shop, this is a must. Some of the stores are: Anything Joe's, All About My Beer, Barefoot Candles, Peace Frogs, and Scrappin' Barefoot. Food: Crab House, Johnny Rockets, Joe's Crab Shack, and many more. We went to Johnny Rockets for lunch and Crab House for supper. Definitely recommend either of them.

A couple days into the trip, we went to Barefoot Landing to go shopping. Barefoot Landing has a variety of shops to go to that could make you wind up there for hours. The atmosphere was beautiful. Along the rows of stores there were rocking chairs for people to sit in and enjoy the beautiful Myrtle Beach weather. It has a very well-kept appearance and is very clean. There is a bridge/long pier that connects the two sides of Barefoot Landing to each other.

The best part of the experience, minus the shopping, was the tigers. Every week or so, this foundation has tigers and monkeys come in to stay there. For about $50, I think, you can get your picture taken with them. The money benefits the research on the tigers and monkeys, etc. It is amazing. I LOVED IT!
