Description
The church of San Massimo was built between 1844-53 and is one of the most interesting examples of 'Carlo Albertine classicism'.
The magnificent pronaos supported by Corinthian columns stands in front of the facade adorned with statues portraying the four evangelists.
Statues of the prophets line the single nave which is also decorated with interesting frescoes. On the left is the altarpiece known as the Victory of Legnanino showing the 'Nativity of the Virgin'.
