This is a free form, non-guided tour, but I did see where others had arranged a guide. The Mayan ruins are certainly not as impressive as Chichen Itza but are so damn close to town (by taxi or moped) that it would be a shame to miss out. The site is located off the road that bisects the island and covers at least 20 acres or more. It's spread out but has lots of early architechure in the forms of houses and altars. Lots of large iguanas sun themselves on the rocks during daylight hours.
