Small stalls selling all sorts fill the small streets behind the Largo Do Senado. Particularly plentiful are the stalls selling women's clothing, but there is also a good selection of kid's clothing, as well as shoes, bags and women's underwear. Shops fronting onto the market streets sell an equally disparate selection of goods including souvenir T-shirts, household linens and dried shark's fins. At the centre of it all is the municipal market, where foodstuffs such as fresh meat, vegetables and fruits are sold. One final note - watch out for mad moped drivers careering through the market!
