The Aquarium is not very large but very well done. The have a "petting" area where you can touch horseshoe crabs and stingrays (and sometimes sharks). You would not spend an entire day here, but since it is at Broadway on the Beach, you can combine with other activities.

Visitors can walk through an underwater tunnel to view sharks, moray ells, poisonous lion fish, and a giant octopus. The aquarium also features interactive computer exhibits. Allow one hour, 30 minutes minimum. Food is available at Food Court amongst the fish tanks.

Open daily 9am - 10pm mid-May through Labor Day, closing time varies rest of year. (842) 916-0888 or (800) 734-8888.

The aquarium was a wonderful experience for the whole family. My interest in animals has definitely rubbed off on my children. My oldest son loves dinosaurs, so he was really impressed with the massive impression of the prehistoric shark jaw. He stood next to it looking up for a long time.

The shark tank with its passage way beneath is a must see. You actually feel like you are swimming with the sharks. The boys really got excited when the sharks would come close to them. The turtle in the tank was really amazing too.

If you love animals, then this aquarium is definitely a must see. I am looking into some of the activities for children that this aquarium provides. I know my children will really enjoy an opportunity to really get to work with the animals. Check out the website Ripley's Aquarium for more detailed information.

Ripley's is a walk through at your own pace aquarium. They have all kinds of exhibits, even a moving walkway underneath a shark tank where you are literally surronded by sharks and fish. You are able to touch stingrays and crabs. It's definitely worth a visit, a great place to spend a rainy afternoon. It's all very accessible.

This aquarium is slightly smaller than Ripley's sister aquarium in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Feeding times in the various tanks are scheduled throughout the day, as are demonstrations and informative talks.

This was an amazing aquarium. It is 74,000 square foot building right in the middle of Broadway at the Beach. You step onto a moving walkway and watch shark, eels, stingray and other sea animals upclose in a dome walkway. There are several different sections.
