Description
This independent film festival was established by a group of filmmakers in 1992 and specialises in showcasing first-time feature directors and low budget films. It was created in the spirit of promoting boldly fresh celluloid innovation and an imaginative passion for film, whatever the genre. The festival takes place annually in October at the arthouse Metro Cinema on Rupert Street. The Raindance Channel is in the process of being launched in collaboration with Sky, so competitors could even see their creations appearing on TV.
