I was able to flag down a charter boat from the beach one afternoon. I flagged it down, swam out, and negotiated a price, time, and location. The boat picked my wife and up the next morning on the beach in front of our hotel. How's that for service? Boats in P.V. are allowed 5 poles per person. Book a smaller boat by your self and it's 5 poles divided by one person. Book a larger boat and it's 5 poles divided by 8 or 9 other tourists. If you're serious about catching a fish you want your own boat, and the price will be about the same. I had the pleasure of hauling in a 40 lb. yellowtail. It was an amazing half hour fight, one of my best P.V. memories.
