There is a long main street of an old western town, complete with the blacksmith, jail, general store, fire station, and much, much more. There is a long hike you can take up through the woods, where lots of the cowboy chases took place. We were there on the first day of the season (April 18 or so). Not all of the activities were available on that day. They have a chuck wagon breakfast tour more toward summer. We will definitely try that next time.
Honestly, it is a little HOKEY, but fun! If you loved Bonanza , enjoy the history of the Old West, or want to give the kids a fun day, take a day trip to the Ponderosa. They have great souvenir shops (no kidding), so you might want to stock up here. Everyone loved the Stagecoach Pencil Sharpeners ($4) I brought home for gifts! The Ponderosa is a great way to spend time with your family. Look for discount coupons around town

The western-style amusement park is included in the price of breakfast, or one can pay for it separately. My advice is to take the breakfast because there isn't that much to the park. There are a few things for young children, places to eat, shop and a couple of shows. For Bonanza fans check out the Ponderosa house and stable where they filmed the show.
