Gentlemen, start your engines! If you like NASCAR, come to Arizona in November for a weekend of races and parties galore! Racing is a huge pastime and we have a track built for speed. PIR is a nationally recognized track that has races all year round and holds the yearly Nextel Cup and various other races such as, Busch, Craftsman Trucks and the Featherlite Southwest Series, not to mention the big race, the Checker Auto Parts 500 NASCAR Winston Cup Series.

Fans line up for front row tickets to these races and PIR is the track that a lot of records have been broken or set. Phoenix is a great place to see the races, especially in November, it's not too hot and it's not too cold. PERFECT for sitting outside all day. I love wandering around the grounds and talking to all the vendors and other race fans.

PIR is located west of Phoenix in Avondale and as of right now, 2005, there aren't a whole lot of hotels in the immediate area. We're working on that. Not really a big deal, just a matter of seat preference. Single tickets range from about 40 bucks on up for reserved seats. There are hillside seats that run around $25.00, but not in the bleachers. Pit passes are available to the general public and can be expensive. They get you closer to the action, but do not allow you access to the drivers and/or crew.

You're allowed to bring in one soft side bag / cooler, no larger than 6 X6X12 inches and no outside alcohol, umbrellas or firearms are allowed. You can download a guest brochure at: www.phoenixraceway.com/uploads/assets/fans/pir_2005guestguide.pdf
