Balboa Park has a lot going on. There are museums to check out and the Spanish Village is right next door, where you can buy expensive artisan art. Or you could just stroll around to relax.

Beautifully landscaped park chock full of museums and of course the zoo. They offer free admission to certain museums weekly. We were able to visit the flight museum and automotive museum for free. Had a wonderful picnic on the grounds afterward.
