The actual market is held on Sunday, from 9am to 2pm; however, the adjacent
Wentworth Street market is also open Monday to Friday 10am - 2.30pm. The nearest Underground stations are Liverpool Street and Aldgate East.

Petticoat Lane has hundreds of stalls offering clothing, accessories, shoes, CDs, luggage and tourist trinkets. We saw shirts, ties, socks, underwear, purses, and rack after rack of clothing for sale. Most of the clothes were lower quality than what you would find in London shops and department stores -- the clothes reminded me of J.C. Penney and Sears quality American clothing. There were, however, a number of booths offering items from the trendy FCUK line. The street is also lined with shops offering clothes at half the price of downtown stores.
A large indoor market is THE PLACE TO GO if you are looking for a leather jacket. Thousands of leather jackets line the stalls, but none are marked with price tags. Here is where you practice your bargaining skills, but with so many booths offering similar goods, it certainly seems that you can wander about until you find your best offer.

The leather coats here are amazing--I didn't buy one because I didn't have room in my bag, but I am definitly going to get one next time. They had lots of kids' toys and adult clothing like sweatpants and sweatshirts, plus lots of nice London souvenir T-shirts and socks.
This market is definitley worth the trip, and it's close to Spitalfields Market and Brick Lane, so make Sunday your big market day.
