Although Lima's annual jazz festival doesn?t take place until April, there are plenty of opportunities to catch vibrant performances as the city gears up for the main festival. The International Jazz Association of Peru promotes contemporary music education for youth groups and adults and hosts regular workshops, classes and seasonal productions throughout the year. The association also sponsors tours abroad and welcomes international performers to Peru in an effort to encourage cross-cultural exchange and education.
