Patriots Point and Charleston Harbor

While we attended the boat show at the marina on this trip, we had toured the USS Yorktown years ago before Patriots Point had become developed like it is today. The Yorktown is extremely interesting, and although we did not have time to take in that sight, we might in the future because much has been added: a military museum and other military memorabilia. Patriots Point has a golf course. It is also the site for the College of Charleston's new baseball field. Mt. Pleasant is a thriving community and has all of the amenities of restaurants and motels that one would desire. Patriots Point is a short drive from the Isle of Palms and Sullivans Island where there are marvelous beaches.
